Burton Family Fun Day!

Many families involved in our ministry (past and present) have not had the opportunity to visit New Life Camp yet! So we'll be giving tours, playing games, and cooking out. Upward Basketball

We've enjoyed participating as coaches and spectators during last fall's Upward season as well as this season. Brittany coached cheerleading in the fall and is now coaching a 3rd and 4th grade girls basketball team. Greg coached 7-9 graders in the fall. Johanna played in the fall and is playing again this season and loving every minute of it!! Upward Sports ministry is very unique because the gospel is incorporated into every practice. I love getting to challenge my girls to think about scripture and how to apply it to our daily lives.

"Raising Support"?

We've gotten a lot of questions about what it means to "raise our support" or salary. So, hopefully this will answer some of those questions. Basically, everyone on staff at New Life Camp is a missionary in the sense that everything we do is ministry based. Each staff member receives a salary from New Life Camp. To offset the amount that Camp has to pay each staff member, donors have the option to specifically support various missionaries on staff. So, for example, since we are paid $4000 a month in salary, if we were to receive $500 in support then NLC would only have to pay us $3500 and the other $500 would get to go to our amazing programs and aid in keeping costs low for campers. All the money goes to the same place. We've found that individuals and families enjoy the option to support other individuals and families, not just programs which is why it is set up the way it is.
